Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program
Spay and Neuter is a vital part to ending Levy County's pet overpopulation.
The Humane Society is a proud recipient of the 2008 and 2010 grants from the Florida Animal Friend Grant,
which is commonly known as the Spay/Neuter License Plate. Both grants were in the amount of $20,000 and admistered in August 2008 - August 2009
and August 2010 - August 2011.
Currently, the Society was granted a $10,000K grant from the Florida Animal Friends Grant program. Funds will be dispersed and utilized from August 2013 - July 2014.
Low-Cost Spay/Neuter Program Requirements
1. Levy County Resident.
2. Applicant must provide proof that you are currently receiving at least one of the benefits listed below and/or meet income guidelines as established by the US Dept. of Health and Services. The programs are as follows: Medicaid, Food Stamps, SSI, or WIC.
3. Pay a $10.00 Co-Pay for each animal entered into the program.

Grant is CLOSED! Due to high pet overpopulation in Levy County, the Society has utilized ALL funds from the FLORIDA ANIMAL FRIEND GRANT.
